‘When a girl ceases to blush, she has lost the most powerful charm of her beauty.’ And of course I am referring this quote in regards to MAKEUP blush! 😉 So lets begin! I want to compare and discuss certain blushes within my makeup collection. As you will notice, I particularly enjoy wearing pinks and soft peach toned blushes.
PLEASE NOTE: You can purchase these particular blushes on certain websites.
I know I have discussed these blushes in a previous blog, nevertheless I thought they were worthy for another mention. Their website states, ‘this silky blush with benefits can be used so many ways. It shapes, it contours, it highlights. Sunbaked on Italian terracotta tiles, its build able from sheer to vibrant. Yes, it adds a cheeky pop of colour to your complexion. Radiance and warmth, too.’ Milani Baked blushes come in 9 shades, these are: 01 Dolce Pink, 02 Rose D’oro, 03 Berry Amore, 05 Luminoso, 06 Bellissimo Bronze, 08 Corallina, 09 Red Vino, 10 Delizioso Pink & 11 Bella Rosa. They are all such beautiful colours! They have great pigmentation containing Mica* as an ingredient, last long and are easy to apply.
I have shades 10 Delizioso Pink and 05 Luminoso.

I have mentioned many Arbonne products in previous blogs. I recommend for you to have a read of them! Arbonne is a botanically based skincare and cosmetics company striving for pure, safe and beneficial products. In regards to their blushes their website states, ‘be a flush-faced beauty with a touch of blendable highlight colour along the cheekbones. Sure to give you a rosy outlook.’ Arbonne blushes come in 8 shades, these are: Ballet, Merlot, Sunset, Dusty Rose, Berry, Taffeta, Blossom & Apricot. Ingredients include cucumber and mallow extract.*

This particular blush is the Soft Lights duo in ‘supermodel.’ Please be aware this is limited edition, so it may not be in stock anymore.
Their website states, ‘Smashbox is all about long lasting makeup that works under the camera, lights and action. Discover a shimmering powder that softens light reflection on your skin. Soft, subtle shimmer and all over glow.’ Shades of this blush are Pink Coral and Shimmering Beige. Shimmering beige can also be used as a highlighter to contour your cheekbones. Ingredients include mica and fruit extracts.

Lancome is a French luxury skincare and cosmetics company. Their website states, ‘Blush Subtil offers women a wide range of colours, from the most neutral to the most intense tones. Inspired by techniques from the most famous make-up artists, Lancôme presentes three simple and expert ways to enhance and brighten your complexion.’ I find these blushes very natural looking, gliding on easily and evenly; containing ingredients such as silica, zinc and mica. These blushes come in 28 shades, such a great variety!
I have shades in 021 Rose Paradis and 02 Rose Sable.
Swatches: Rose Paradis & Rose Sable
Napoleon Perdis is an Australian cosmetics company.
Their website states, ‘Fake a fabulous flush, warm summer skin, or a gorgeous glow with Napoleon’s favourite mosaic powders. The complimentary hues sit in a mosaic pattern, which when swept over the top with a brush, allows the hues to blend together to create a flattering finish on the skin. The shade combinations are designed to blend together beautifully for a natural effect on the skin.’Napoleon’s Mosaic Powder come in 3 shades: Blushing, Bronzing and Flushing. Ingredients include lanolin to protect and soften skin along with Vitamins C and E antioxidants to help improve skin texture. What I love about this blush is that you can also use it as eyeshadow!
I have shade Flushing ‘Matte Coral’.

Now, I’m sure everybody has heard the saying less is more. This is the technique to follow when applying your blush. By giving yourself a soft, subtle look with your blush, it will work wonders to your overall look. Also ensure to use a good blush brush! I have been using Arbonne’s Cheek Brush
, it’s just gorgeous! Ensure to place blush on the apples of your cheeks, it can be very easy to place in the wrong area on face. Trust me, it took me quite some time to properly figure it out!
Thanks for reading my latest blog and talk very soon!
