Thin Lizzy

Ciao! Sending positive vibes to everyone out there ❤

I’m discussing cosmetics brand Thin Lizzy for this blog post. I’d only heard about this company last year and I really want to share their products I received and have enjoyed using. I received their Mineral Foundation and Mascara.

Thin Lizzy was created in 2005 in New Zealand. Their motto is ‘to create and make accessble high quality best of the best products, that can be used by anyone, at any age, on any income. Because everybody should have the opportunity to look and feel glamorous.’

Their range contains: mineral foundations, concealer crèmes, eye pencils, lip gloss and bronzer.

Mineral Foundation ($39.95 AUD)
Thin Lizzy’s mineral foundation comes in 8 particular shades, including a free Flawless Fibre Brush. I received shade ‘Duchess’ which seems to suit my skin very well.
It contains:
  • No harmful preservatives
  • No irritating perfumes
  • No drying fillers
  • No heavy waxes
  • No parabens

Ingredients include: Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide which act as a natural SPF 15 helping to protect your skin from UV damage and premature ageing. I find the coverage is concentrated, so a small amount truly goes a long way. Additionally, it gives a soft, natural and flawless finish that essentially allows my skin to breathe.

Thin Lizzy’s Mascara is:
  • Water resistant
  • Smudge proof and won’t flake
  • Easy to remove
I love using this mascara for a natural daily look. Always make sure when you apply mascara to sweep the wand upwards from the base of your lashes. I have sensitive skin (including my eyes) and this mascara is perfect for people who have sensitive eyes, as, you can easily remove Thin Lizzy’s mascara with warm water and gentle pressure.
Interesting fact: It is recommended that you replace your mascara after 3 months. And never share your mascara, this can cross-contaminate.
