Lip Oils

Lip oils are the definitely the new trend. They are the comfort of a balm and the shine of a gloss. Can be used alone, as a lip liner, or over a lipstick. Personally, I use them alone. Lip oils are great to use when you are having a natural makeup look or are just wanting to take a break from lipsticks.

There are 3 different lip oils I will be discussing in this blog which are:

Burt Bees Tinted Lip Oil

Price: $16.95 AUD

It contains 100% natural blends of Meadow-foam Seed and Coconut Oils to hydrate and nourish the lips. The formula provides a sheer tint and after application it has a minty-cooling feeling to it. Believe it or not this lip oil actually helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and strengthen delicate skin. To use this product, twist the bottom part and the formula will build up into the brush, then you can apply to the lips.

There are 6 shades available and I have shade ‘Rustling Rose.’

Lancome Juicy Shaker

Price: $36 AUD

Zero stickiness! I find this lip oil by Lancome is much more lightweight but provides just as much nourishment with a gorgeous, natural finish. The fragrance of this lip oil smells beyond delicious, very fruity! The applicator is a soft cushion. How to use? You actually shake the product first, unscrew the lid and apply to the lips. I think this has to be my favourite!

There are 14 shades available and I have shade ‘Top Gum.’

Mary Kay Glossy Lip Oil

Price: $24 AUD

This lip oil by Mary Kay is a special edition. The formula to this lip oil is bit more pigmented than the other two. Ingredients include Grape seed, Avocado and Jojoba oils. To use just squeeze and the formula will come out of the applicator tip. It glides on smoothly and feels super conditioning to the lips. For this product, you only need to use a small amount.

There are 3 shades available and I have shade ‘Magenta Ray.’

Bottom to top: Burts Bees, Lancome, Mary Kay
